The research “Italians and the Tax System”, carried out by Censis on behalf of the National Council of the Accountants, reveals that the perception that the Italians have of the tax system continues to be substantially negative: inefficient, expensive, unfair are the adjectives most used to define it. Moreover, respondents observe that despite a heavy tax burden, quality of services offered is not of the expected level. Among the various taxes, RAI fees is the most difficult to accept. Another aspect highlighted by the taxpayers is the lack of protections for citizens in front of the tax system and the difficulty in managing all the complexities of the tax system.
