According to the monthly analysis of the Centro Studi Confindustria, the global economy is picking up “vigorously”, but Italy “is not keeping pace”, struggling to go beyond the 1% growth of GDP. The dynamics of consumption in Italy will continue to be hampered by difficulties in the labor market which is in contrast with other countries in the euro zone. Even the exports are in crisis, especially towards countries with economies in strong recovery such as China, where Italy is less present than other European countries like Germany.
