In February 2011 the index of consumer confidence rose to 106.4 from 105.9 in the previous month. The improvement is due to greater optimism about the future of the country’s economic situation and the family (the index of “future climate” rises from 90.9 to 94.7), while the current climate indicator goes down (from 116, 7 to 115.1). The index on the overall economic climate also goes up from 77.4 to 78.6, while remain substantially stationary the evaluations about the personal climate (the index rose from 120.6 to 120.5). As for prices, consumer opinions about the dynamics of the last 12 months point to some acceleration and also expectations about the future are oriented to a slope.
