The president of Confcommercio Carlo Sangalli opened the 12th edition of the Forum in Cernobbio. He stressed that it is necessary to enhance the growth, move beyond the 1%, and "there is no time to lose" because "Italy needs more growth" for continuing the work of consolidation of public finances, and particularly, to lighten the historical burden of public debt, without giving in to temptation inequitable and inefficient old and new property laws. Sangalli reiterated the positive view on government actions in keeping the public finances in the midst of the storm of international crisis, "but now growth needs to be accelerated."
