How do you define a better life? Your Better Life Index, worked out by OECD, is a new interactive tool that lets you measure and compare well-being across 34 countries, based on 11 dimensions: housing, income, jobs, community, education, environment, governance, health, life satisfaction, safety, work-life balance. It is a compendium of quantitative and qualitative data which takes into account individual perceptions. If we give the same value to the same parameters, however, we found Australia, Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, Norway, Denmark, USA and Switzerland at the first places in the ranking, while Italy is at 24th place just ahead Czech Republic and Korea.
