Will be held in Bologna at the Alma Mater Studiorum of the University of Bologna from 8 to 10 June, the interim meeting of the Italian Statistical Society entitled The Statistics in the 150 years from the Unification of Italy, organized in collaboration with ISTAT and Bank of Italy. The meeting will be devoted to statistics as a tool for the study of economic, demographic and social factors that have affected our country from its Unit. Methodological aspects and applications will be addressed both in the frame of a comparative historical analysis and in relation to current developments and future prospects. The topics will concern: the identity of the country and its transformations, the socio-economic changes, territorial homogeneity and heterogeneity, demographics and the population change, changes in the census and official statistics, changing information and instruments of economic statistics, systems of national accounts, economic time series, methods for the micro analyses, the Italian statistics in the context of the Italian and international scientific and cultural debate, developments in statistical methodology and its applications with the use of new technologies, changes in the education system and training in statistics.
