It was presented to Parliament and Government the Report 2011, which details the work done by the Bank of Italy in 2010 and in early 2011 as part of the European System of Central Banks, as authority for the protection of sound and prudent management of intermediaries and the stability of the system, as a provider of services to financial intermediaries and the public administration bodies, relevant to the protection of savings. The document describes in detail the regulatory changes, the control activities and actions undertaken in the field of control over banking and financial intermediaries and the supervision of markets and oversight of the payments system.
