Published the autumn update of the report “The economy in the Italian regions,” by the Bank of Italy. The conjuncture analysis shows that in the north of the country economic recovery, which had characterized the past year, has fallen off in the summer 2011. In Central and Southern Italy, activity levels have stagnated in the first nine months of the year. In the first half of 2011 exports grew more slowly than the previous six months, and the increase was higher in North and South. Employment has increased slightly in all areas. In the summer months the pace of growth in corporate loans fell in North-Center and remained constant in the South. Loans to households showed a slight slowdown in all sectors.
The depth analysis include: industrial districts, the national tourism industry, the labor market for younger, some organizational aspects of the banks, the activities of consortia, the fiscal capacity of the Italian municipalities.
